About The Chapel Hill Education Foundation…
The Chapel Hill Education Foundation (CHEF) is a non-profit corporation formed in 2003. The purpose of CHEF is to promote scholarships in the Chapel Hill Independent School District by providing financial support, leadership and professional expertise for students and teachers to colleges, universities, and trade or technical schools and professional seminars. In addition, the foundation provides financial support through grants to the Chapel Hill campuses for qualified educational projects.
In 2017, the Foundation awarded scholarships totaling over $22,000 to graduating seniors and $2,000 to each of the three campuses in CHISD. This is the eighth year in a row that the foundation has been able to fund scholarships to 100% of the applicants. The foundation's scholarship recipients are evaluated on varying categories for educational assistance. One of the factors in determining scholarship recipients each year is participation in events supported by CHEF. High School students receive points throughout the year based on participation. The foundation believes student participation is vital to our existence and allows our students to be a part of the development of the foundation for their classmates.
The Foundation would like to thank everyone who has supported the students of Chapel Hill in past years.
