Lone Finalist for Superintendent of CHISD

On Thursday, April 22, 2021, the Chapel Hill Independent School District Board of Trustees named Daniel Pritchett as the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools.  Following a 21-day waiting period, the Board will once again convene to act on the employment of Daniel Pritchett as Superintendent of Schools for the Chapel Hill Independent School District.

Having twenty years experience in education, Daniel Pritchett currently serves as the Business Manager and oversees state and federal programs for Daingerfield-Lone Star School District.  He previously served DCISD as the Principal for South Elementary and was the HS Principal at Avery ISD.  Prior to his administrative experience, Mr. Pritchett was a HS English teacher for Pine Tree HS and Corsicana HS.  He holds a Masters of Educational Leadership from Steven F. Austin University and a Bachelors of Arts from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a major in English and minor in Special Education. Mr. Pritchett was raised in East Texas and graduated from Daingerfield High School and attended Northeast Texas Community College.


Mr. Pritchett is married to Annie and has four children, Tristan, 17, Tennyson, 15, Emerick, 8, and Ethan 15.  "We are thrilled to be joining the Chapel Hill family," says Mr. Pritchett.
