Chapel Hill Boys Headed to State

The Varsity Boys Cross Country Team is headed to STATE!!!

The boys tied for second place with Pilot Point that won regionals last year. They were only 14 points from first place.

Russell Hedges ran his best race today placing 5th with a time of 16:37. Lucas Thomas 13th 17:04, CJ Kump 21st 17:20, Cameron Thomas 27th 17:39, Marcos Netro 47th 18:07, Tristan Davis 142nd 21:00, and Braxton Sanders 149th 21:31.

The Varsity Girls also competed at regionals placing 18th overall. Ramsie Applegate lead the way with a time of 63rd with a time of 14:04. Behind her was Cecilia Perez 75th 14:13, Haylie Torres 93rd 14:34, Abby Soto 130th 15:25, and Zaileni Otero 135th 15:33.

Coach Bynum said, “I am so proud of this groups of kids. They have worked so hard and stayed hungry all season. We have a lot of talent on both sides and the future looks bright. The boys are going to work hard this next week because we have a chance to go out and win state!”

The state meet will be on November 9th at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
